Ways To Use NO. 1407 Fragrance Oil
We stock two different versions of this Fragrance Oil at VINEVIDA.
We recommend that Nebulizing or Cold Air Diffusers use VINEVIDA Diffuser Fragrance Oils because they are specifically designed for these types of diffusers. Order and use NO. 1407 - For Cold Air Diffusers.
Please note that diffuser fragrance oils should only be used for this particular purpose.
You will love the variety and versatility of VINEVIDA Soaps and Candles (S&C) Fragrance oil because it is designed for all your skincare and toiletries needs. It has been specifically formulated to withstand the rigorous heat processes of creating candles and soaps.
At VINEVIDA, we take your skincare as seriously, that’s why none of our fragrance oils contain Parabens, Phthalates, SLS, or SLES. You can trust them on your precious skin. Our fragrance oils are never tested on animals.
Come and discover how to use fragrance oils. We’ll start by looking at them in three logical and distinct categories: Topical Products, Scenting The Home, and Diffusers and Candle Burners.
Topical Products
With VINEVIDA S&C fragrance oils it’s quick and simple to create quality skin care at home.
For topical products, always choose the Soaps and Candles Fragrance Oil option. Because we stock two types of NO. 1407 fragrance oil at VINEVIDA, it’s important you purchase the right fragrance oil for the right application.
Our S&C Fragrance Oils are designed by industry professionals to work in conjunction with a large range of natural ingredients. They excel in making skin care products because the fragrance oils are specifically designed to retain their integrity and fragrance. This is an important function and feature when you need to heat base ingredients, like making Body Butters, Beauty Balms, and Skin Salves.
You can blend them easily into a variety of natural bases, like candle waxes, carrier oils, and cosmetic butter to create first-class products.
Soap
You get dependable results making Melt and Pour Soaps and Cold Process Soaps because VINEVIDA S&C fragrance oils are designed to withstand the intense heat and rigors of the soap-making process.
Use NO. 1407 to create vibrant and luminous soaps, evoking a tropical paradise. Ideal for any time of the day, and anywhere in the home. Despite being an unmistakably feminine scent, it works well in soap that will appeal to everyone.
It is not too difficult to give a more masculine slant to NO. 1407 either. I’ll show you how a little later on.
Toiletries
You will want the tropical paradise scent of NO. 1407 to linger all day, blending it into products with a cosmetic butter or a high oil content helps the scent last longer. For this reason, we highly recommend using it for making Massage Oils, Luxe Crémes, and Bath Oils.

They are also products I can trust because I know what went into them.
As soon as you realize all the ways you can use S&C fragrance oils to scent your home, you will be amazed at their scope and versatility.

Protect Surfaces and Furnishings From Fragrance Oil
Disclaimer: As oil-based products, fragrance oils may stain polished and painted surfaces, furniture, and furnishings. Please take steps to protect surfaces before use.
It would be wise to carry out patch tests in inconspicuous areas, especially on your more precious surfaces and linens.
Diffusers and Candle Burners
Aromatherapy Candle Burners
VINEVIDA NO. 1407 S&C fragrance oil can be used in all types of Aromatherapy candle burners.
Diffusers
NEVER use VINEVIDA Soaps and Candles Fragrance Oil in your Nebulizing or Cold Air Diffusers. The fluid is too thick and viscous and can easily block the delicate nozzles on these types of diffusers.
If you have a Nebulizing or Cold Air diffuser use NO. 1407 DIFFUSER Fragrance Oil.
We completely understand it's confusing with all the different types of diffusers on the market, especially when it comes to which fragrance oil to choose and being sure you are making the right decision
Let us guide the way with our comprehensive guidance on How To Use VINEVIDA Oils. It covers a variety of applications and uses.
It is always our first recommendation to consult the manufacturer's instructions for your own individual diffusers. You must get their specific guidance on your machine, please.
Blending Recommendations
NO. 1407 is the vibrant and luminous scent of a tropical paradise, you can still make it your own by adding your own little flourish with other VINEVIDA Fragrance Oils and Essential Oils. Our fragrance oils are the perfect blending companions. We thoroughly recommend experimenting and trying new, exciting, and original blends at home for yourself.
I like to lighten it off with sharp green citrus notes like NO. 1301- Inspired By: Bergamote 22 By Le Labo. Add a dash of masculinity and deepen it right down with NO. 3100 - Inspired By: Tobacco Vanille By Tom Ford.
Add to the front end of the fragrance with tart and zingy essential oils like Lemongrass and Bergamot, and add spice to the heart notes with Black Pepper and Nutmeg. Deepen it right down with Cedarwood and Patchouli.

All you need to know is the exact places where you can add your own little flourishes and the best way to do it.
Shall we refresh our minds on the fragrance notes? I’ll give you my best recommendations and choices for you to have fun experimenting and trying out new blends.
Fragrance Notes |
Original Scent Profile | Ideal Companions |
---|---|---|
Top | Cream Coconut, Frangipani, White Florals |
Bergamot, Pink and White Grapefruit, Sweet Orange, Mandarin, Tangerine Lemongrass, Litsea Cubeba Raspberry, Apricot, Peach |
Heart | Gardenia, Orange Blossom |
Cardamom, Nutmeg, Black Pepper Neroli, Jasmine, Honeysuckle |
Base | Amber, Tuberose | Amyris, Balsam Copaiba, Clove, Cedarwood, Oud, Palo Santo, Patchouli, Sandalwood, Tonka Bean, Vanilla, Vetiver |
Follow This Framework
- Keep the top notes sharp, tart, and green preferably. I would opt for green noted citrus oils like Lemongrass or Orange citrus notes, like Mandarin. Fruits like Peaches and Apricots seem to blend with it quite well too.
- Keep the heart space heady with florals with choices like Neroli, Jasmine, and Honeysuckle.
- Introduce spices with deeper notes of Black Pepper, Orange scented Cardamom, and complimentary Nutmeg.
- Add sharp greens and spices helps to push a more masculine tilt, but really ramp it up in the base notes with Patchouli, Vetiver, and Cedarwood.
- Don’t forget when you add a dash of Vanilla, it affects our whole limbic system. Helping to foster feelings of comfort, security, and safety. It's an inspired addition to any blend to help people feel safer in your space.
- Work a drop at a time, stop to mix, and test your blend before adding more. This way you can’t go wrong. Working in this way, over time, will help you build blending confidence and skills.
We provide this easy-to-follow framework because we want you to be successful. It will help you to maintain the balance of the original scent and in doing so, improve your chances of success.
IFRA Safety
Diffuser Blends fall under IFRA Category 12. NO. 1407 Fragrance oil has no safety restrictions in this category which means within reason, you can use as much as you want. However, you must understand that more does not mean better. There is still a happy balance of the scent profile to maintain.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are using a Nebulizing or Cold Air Diffuser you must use the DIFFUSER Fragrance Oil variation.
NEVER use the Soaps & Candles variation in Cold Air Diffusers, the fluid is too thick for these machines and is likely to clog them up.
Method:
- Our Diffuser Blends are so easy to do at home.
- Measure out the essential oils and fragrance oils into a small measuring jug.
- Combine them all together with a stainless steel spoon, or a glass stirrer.
- Decant the oils into a 10ml dropper bottle. Use a funnel to help you keep the bottle clean, oil-free, and dry. It helps your label to adhere better.
- Minimize waste and get all your money’s worth by getting every last precious morsel of oil from the jug and funnel. If you use a quality silicone spatula, you can get every last bit, which is so important when using expensive essential oils and absolutes. Save money and the planet all at once. 🙂
- Clearly list the ingredients on an oil-proof label. For obvious safety reasons, you must ALWAYS label your bottle as ‘UNDILUTED’.
How To Use:
- Consult your manufacturer's instructions for their specific guidance on your individual diffuser. Given you all have different diffusers, it’s the best advice we can give you!
- Dilute your blend, if guided, to suit your individual diffuser.
Castaway Island
Imagine an unspoiled island, brimming with tropical flowers and fruits. Let yourself be Castaway for as long, or as little, as you like and escape to paradise with this fun blend.
I’ve added in tart citrus notes for a fresh and bright introduction but with a little fruitiness to keep things light-hearted and fun.
Ingredients:
- 6 ml of NO. 1407 Fragrance Oil
- 2 ml of NO. 35 - Fruit Loops Fragrance Oil
- 20 drops of Bergamot Essential Oil (Citrus Bergamia)

Safety:
- Not designed for use on the skin.
- Do not diffuse where cats are present.
Paradise In Shorts and Sliders
Let me show you how to change an overtly feminine scent and make it more masculine.
I went citrus green in the top notes with Bergamot, then added spice into the heart notes to compete with the florals. They are quite powerful in their own right so I chose the complimentary notes of Cardamom and Black Pepper. Adding in the Tobacco and Vanilla notes, really deepens it all down beautifully and changes it into something completely unique and incredible.
Ingredients:
- 7 ml of NO. 1407 Fragrance Oil
- 1 ml of NO. 3100 - Inspired By: Tobacco Vanille By Tom Ford Fragrance Oil
- 20 drops of Bergamot Essential Oil (Citrus Bergamia)
- 15 drops of Cardamom Essential Oil (Elettaria Cardamomum)
- 5 drops of Black Pepper Essential Oil (Piper Nigrum)
Safety:
- Not designed for use on the skin.
- Do not diffuse where cats are present.
Paradise Found
Fill your home with the scents of Paradise, lay back, relax and unwind. Let your mind and spirit wander the white beaches of your imagination.

This week, we have a tropical paradise in a bottle of NO. 1407. It brings white beaches, lapping waves, and shimmering sunsets to your home and beauty products.
First, we are going to make a glorious Sun Shimmer Oil. It’s incredible as an After Sun product with all the luscious and soothing essential oils and carrier oils. It doubles up as a glorious day-to-night Shimmer Oil, making your skin look smooth, luminous, and vibrant with health. That bit of shimmer adds to the whole effect.
For our second project, I’m going to show you how you can take the tropical paradise theme and use it in your car to bring peace, tranquility, and calm to those bumper-to-bumper days.
Sun Shimmer Oil
This is such a simple but effective recipe, you’ll be thrilled with the final effects of this one.
It’s easy to spend too long in the sun and the sooner you can get essential oils to work to soothe your skin the better. The carrier oils all bring their amazing properties and antioxidants too. Fatty acids, like Linoleic Acid, get to work to restore the barrier function of the skin, soothing, smoothing, and promoting cell regeneration and renewal to heal the skin.
If you would rather make this as a Simmer Lotion instead, or create an After Sun lotion without any shimmer, check out Radiant Beach Body: Unlock Beauty With Essential Oils Kit for more exciting recipes and tutorials.
IFRA Safety
NO. 1407 in IFRA category 5A has maximum safety restrictions of 15%. This means in 100ml of Facial Massage Oil, you cannot use any more than 15 ml.Use the option on the VINEVIDA calculator for Body Oil to work out the correct safety data in the right category.
