Blending with Myrrh

Myrrh is often used in meditation and relaxation practices, it creates a calm yet warm environment. On a metaphysical level, Myrrh provides strength and acceptance of what is.

It is one of the oldest known aromatic substances, and has been long used in religious practices as an ingredient of incense. It is said that in Egyptian times women used Myrrh in their facial preparations, and it was also used in embalming processes. Quite a history indeed. Now it is more widely used for skin care preparations, respiratory problems and as a nervous system calming agent.

Peace and Quiet

There are moments in motherhood when things can get a little chaotic, overwhelming and noisy. We moms miss that sense of peace and calmness we once had. To recreate that sense of stillness and presence, I created this blend.

  • 4 drops of Myrrh (Commiphora myrrha)
  • 2 drops of Fir (Abies siberica)
  • 2 drops of Bergamot (Citrus bergamia)

As you diffuse it, inhale the aroma deeply and slowly allowing it to permeate through your body and mind. As you breathe in, say to yourself ‘my body and mind are filled with peace’. As you breathe out, say to yourself ‘I am at peace’. This mindset helps fill the body with calmness as well. Doing this, even for as little as five minutes, will help release the tension from your body and mind.

How to Use

Add to your ultrasonic diffuser or oil burner in a well-ventilated area for short periods. You should use your diffuser on the intermittent setting for 30 minutes on and then 60 minutes off.

Safety: This blend is created specifically for diffuser use only.

Summer Rain

On a hot summer’s day, it's so refreshing and cooling when the rains arrive. This blend reminds me of the summer rain. So even in the middle of the heat filled days, diffusing this allows my mind to recreate the refreshing nature of the rains.

  • 2 drops of Patchouli (Pogostemon cablin)
  • 1 drop of Rose Geranium (Pelargonium roseum)
  • 1 drop of Fir (Abies siberica)

Spice Delight

As the Spice Girls once sang, spice up your life, and for me this blend adds a little spice, a little pep to my day. Putting on old school music like The Spice Girls and dancing and singing whilst diffusing this really helps bring a spark to my day.

  • 4 drops of Myrrh (Commiphora myrrha)
  • 2 drops of Cassia (Cinnamomum cassia)
  • 2 drops of Orange (Citrus sinensis)

The Spice Girls not your musical jam? Try anything old school or anything that gets you in a fun, happy mood. Put it on and move your body.
