This is where I will share some of my favorite recipes with NO. 10 - Lush Ice fragrance oil with you; some you may have seen before, and others will be brand new just for you.
Lush Ice Boldening and Bolstering Ball
This is a tried and tested recipe just for you all today. I wanted to give you something that is easy to achieve for yourself at home but feels luxurious to use.
NO. 10 - Lush Ice Boldening and Bolstering Ball is a playful Rollerball, but with a serious edge.
Sometimes, our confidence dips during the day. It might be because of what someone says to us or a mistake we make or maybe we wonder if people are talking behind our backs.
When this happens we need a little emotional tonic, a psychological lift as it were. I often use scent and essential oils to uplift myself and you can do the same. Carrying a rollerball means you can use it discreetly throughout the day to boost your mood.
I want the main scent of the NO. 10 - Lush Ice to remain intact, so I have added just two supporting essential oils that will also bolster your mood, make you feel a little bolder and uplift you.
Although, you can leave the essential oils out if you want to and just use the fragrance oil.
Note: The IFRA maximum safety dilution rate for NO. 10 - Lush Ice fragrance oil in category 5A is 8%. This means in 20 ml of this product, you can use up to 1.6 ml. We are using approximately 0.4 ml (2%) in this recipe.
You will need:
- Measuring jug - small
- Stainless steel stirrer
- Funnel
- Label
- 20ml /0.67 fl oz Rollerball and cap.
Ingredients:
- 19 ml Sweet Almond Carrier Oil
- 8 drops NO. 10 - Lush Ice Fragrance Oil
Optional:
- 8 drops of Lemon Essential Oil (Citrus limon L (Burm.) F. )
- 8 drops of Eucalyptus Essential Oil (Eucalyptus globulus)
Method:
- Carefully measure and mix all of your ingredients until well combined.
- Use a funnel decant in your bottle.
- Add your rollerball cap and lid tightly
- Label clearly with all ingredients for safety reasons.
- Perform a 24-hour patch test before using.
How to use:
- Apply to pulse points as and when needed, up to 8 times a day. To boost your mood and remind you how awesome you really are.
- Pat dry if necessary and allow to absorb fully. Be careful not to put in places where it can stain your clothing.
Safety:
- Do not use it in the first 16 weeks of pregnancy.
- Not for children under 6 years old
- Always do a 24-hour patch test.
- If any product gets in your eyes, rinse well with clean, cool water; if irritation persists, seek medical advice by taking the clearly labeled bottle with you.
Lush Ice Boardroom Reed Diffuser
Pop one of these magical Reed Diffusers in your boardroom or Home Office and you’ll soon be ruling the roost! Super simple to make for yourself, you’ll not buy a commercial version again when you realize how you can tailor make these to compliment both your home and your office.
You will need the following:
- Measuring spoons and jugs
- Stainless steel stirrer
- Funnel
- Suitable bottle for your diffuser (needs to hold at least 100ml)
- Reeds
- Label
Ingredients:
- 47ml Grapeseed Carrier Oil
- 47ml High proof Vodka
- Up to 6 ml of NO. 10 - Lush Ice Fragrance Oil
Method:
- Measure out your ingredients into two small jugs.
- Mix the carrier oil and the alcohol but do it slowly and take your time to get them to homogenize nicely together. It is worth taking the time to do this; otherwise, they can split in the bottle.
- Add your fragrance oil and mix it slowly and thoroughly again.
- Using a funnel, decant it into your chosen vessel or bottle.
- Label accurately and clearly with all ingredients and dates for safety purposes.
- Pop your reeds in and allow them to soak up the solution. (See our Top Tip below).
- Position in a place with some airflow to allow the scent to permeate the area. Place on a coaster or mat to protect precious surfaces.
TOP TIP TO GET A HEAD START: Make a weeny bit extra of the diffuser solution, take the reeds, and place them onto a plate big enough to hold the reeds. Pour over the extra solution and soak the reeds until they look saturated or absorbed.
