How to Blend with Fennel Essential Oil

Fennel essential oil has a strong aroma reminiscent of licorice, spicy and earthy yet sweet. It can be a polarizing scent, a love or hate thing. Due to the anethole constituent, fennel, licorice, and aniseed have a similar fragrance profile. Fennel has a much softer anethole note, but it can still be strong for some. In perfumery terms, Fennel is a top to middle note, and I’ve found that the scent of Fennel can last a little longer than typical top notes, so be mindful when blending with it. A little bit goes a long way.

Fennel essential oil is refreshing, revitalizing, and re-invigorating and has a steely resilience. On a metaphysical level, Fennel can support us to speak more directly and authentically and in a way that others receive the message positively. If you’ve got tasks that need completing or require further attention, Fennel can support you to move forward and complete the tasks required.

Safety Notes for Fennel
