    Soap making

    soap in hand

VINEVIDA Fragrance oils are designed to excel in the various soap-making processes. Whether you are making Cold Process Soap or Melt and Pour Soap,  expect great results from our Soaps and Candles fragrance oils.

In the case of NO. 1016 - Inspired By: Chandelier By Aroma36, it makes a highly perfumed unisex soap, with heady floral heart notes and a precious woody base.

Deepen it further with strong spices for something more masculine or lighten it with citruses to make it ethereal. Avoid using delicate florals which would be swallowed by its heavier notes.

    Skincare

NO. 1016’s sophisticated scent makes for indulgent and decadent skin care. Choose from Cleansers, Toners, Moisturizers, Masques, or Nourishing and Night Creams. It would make a sensational scent for sophisticated and elegant-themed gift sets.

      Toiletries

      Cosmetics

Fragrance oils can be used to make cosmetics. It would be amazing in a Blemish Cream that will fragrance your skin all day long and complement your Signature Scent toiletries.

Add it to your homemade Blush Tint and tinted powders.

Candles and Wax Products For The Home

NO. 1016 is an inspired choice to create sophisticated products for the unisex market. Create elegant candles, designer-inspired wax melts, and sumptuous reed diffusers and sachets. It is an extremely popular fragrance and worth adding to your collection.

To tip the balance towards a more masculine masterpiece add strong spices like Cardamom and Cinnamon. Earthy Vetiver would also deepen the profile. Though take care not to tinker too much though, because it is already glorious!

If you are making products commercially, it would behoove you to design packaging for this oil to appeal to a unisex market. Pigeonholing it could potentially halve your market.

          Scented Products For The Home

Signature Home Scents created with NO. 1016 could be put to work in your home in Room and Linen Sprays, Reed Diffusers, and even use it in your car as an air freshener too!

Don’t overlook less mainstream products such as Scented Sachets and Deodorizers. I find them both highly effective around the home and  NO. 1016 offers that wonderfully complex aroma that just keeps on giving with those rare and precious base notes working hard for you.

          Cleaning Products for The Home

NO. 1016 is an elegant and sophisticated choice for your Laundry care products. You can employ it to create Laundry Cleansers Softeners and even Tumble Dryer Sheets. Freshen all your household linen with this uber-indulgent fragrance oil. Forget the Princess and the Pea, make your beds fit for a Queen instead!

Run the theme throughout your home and even use it to scent your Surface Cleansers. Don’t forget you can create your own Carpet Refresher Powder, Toilet Bombs, and Drain Bombs from scratch using natural products to look after your precious home and the environment!

            Diffusers and Candle Burners

            Aromatherapy Candle Burners

VINEVIDA  NO. 1016 - Inspired By: Chandelier By Aroma360 Soaps and Candles fragrance oil can be used in all types of aromatherapy candle burners.

            Diffusers

VINEVIDA Soaps and Candles version should NOT be used in your Cold Air or Nebulizing Diffuser. This version is too thick and viscous for them and can block the nozzles.

We have designed NO. 1016 - Inspired By: Chandelier By Aroma360 DIFFUSER Fragrance Oil specifically for your Nebulizing or Cold Air Diffusers.

If you need more information and guidance on the different types of diffusers and which fragrance oils we recommend, we cover this comprehensively in How To Use VINEVIDA Oils.

We always suggest in the first instance to check your own machine’s manufacturer's instructions for more specific guidance.

            Blending Recommendations

NO. 1016 is a sophisticated and complex fragrance oil. Experiment just a little with this one, by blending it with some of VINEVIDA’s other Fragrance Oils and Essential Oils.

I like to lighten it off with citrus top notes and spicy heart notes like NO. 1301 - Inspired By: Bergamote 22 By Le Labo and NO. 65 - Pumpkin Spice.

It is also sublime with earthy Essential Oils like Patchouli and Vetiver and bright, fresh Citrus notes like Pink Grapefruit and Bergamot.

Creative Ways To Use And Blend NO. 1016

              perfumer working on his desk

First, let’s create an exciting range of diffuser blends to welcome in the blessed month of April.

NO. 1016 - Inspired By: Chandelier By Aroma 360 Diffuser Blends

electric aroma diffuser and essential oils

When we first look at this sophisticated and elegant fragrance oil, we may wonder how you can improve on such a masterpiece.  But if you look, there is space within the top notes and heart notes to add your delft touch. Even the base notes could take the addition of something lovely and earthy.

It would not take too much to tip it over to a more feminine or masculine scent profile if that is what appeals to you. Though delicate florals would be lost in this, so flip to the feminine with strong florals like Neroli, Ylang-Ylang, and a good dash of strong Rose oils.

Let's just get on with this and dive into the good stuff! Let's just remind ourselves of the fragrance notes first and I will make some ideal recommendations for you to try.

              Fragrance
              Notes
              Original Scent Profile Ideal Companions
Top Bergamot, Greenery, Lily Lime, Lemon, Tangerine, Mandarin, Kaffir Lime, Grapefruit, Clary Sage, Basil, Lavender, Rose, Rose Geranium, Petitgrain
Heart Lilac, Tulip Neroli, Ylang Ylang, Palmarosa, Palo Santo, Lemongrass, Litsea Cubeba, Cardamom, Nutmeg
Base Cedar Leaf, Vetiver Amber, Amyris, Cedarwood, Musk, Oud, Patchouli, Vanilla,

              Follow This Framework

                1. You want to keep the top notes refreshing and tip to the feminine with citrus and fruit notes. Be cautious of adding too many green notes, err on the side of Citrus greens like Lemongrass. Add light fruits like Mango and Strawberry, even tart Raspberry would be good.
                2. Keep it heady and floral in the heart space, but there is room for big spices like Cardamom, Nutmeg, and Cinnamon that can tip it to a more masculine profile.
                3. Try deepening down the base with earthy notes. It is full of woody notes anyway so focus on bringing in earthiness to deepen it down even further than it already is!
                4. Go easy, any heavy-handedness could take this from perfection to ruination. Work one drop at a time, mix, and test.

If you try to work with this framework it helps you to sustain the overall balance of the original scent profile and steers you towards more successful outcomes.

                4. Apply an oil-proof label, listing all of the ingredients to the clean bottle.

I’ve pulled out all of the stops with the Luxe Body Créme and I suggest that you do too. It is worth making such a hydrating and nourishing luxe créme for your precious skin. I LOVE mine.

The Face Serum is simple to make with some choice ingredients and one that your precious skin will simply thrive with. Bring your skin alive with this one!

              Luxe Body Créme

              moisturizing-facial-cream

I think you will like how rich and nourishing this Luxe Body Créme is. It quickly and easily absorbs into your skin despite its richness in oils and butters. It is wonderfully hydrating and with its elegant and sophisticated fragrance, it is going to become a beloved potion in your bathroom.

It is utterly luscious and rather decadent, but it won’t break the bank to make.

In IFRA Category 5A -  NO. 1016 - Inspired By: Chandelier By Aroma360 Soaps and Candles fragrance oil has a maximum safety dilution recommendation of 5.27%. This means that in 100ml of Body Créme, don’t use any more than 5.27ml of fragrance. 3% is more than enough for this project.

You might as well make at least 500ml of this at a time, it’s easier to make more!

              You Will Need:

                1. Double boiler
                2. Measuring jug and spoons
                3. Stainless steel spoon
                4. Hand or electric whisk
                5. Mixing bowl
                6. Silicone spatula
                7. 500ml jar or pot (or 2 x 250ml)
                8. Label

              Ingredients:

Optional: Preservative, follow your individual manufacturer's instructions for how much to use and when in the process to add it.

              Safety:

                • Do not use it in the first 37 weeks of pregnancy.

              Method:

              Melting Your Waxes And Butters
                1. Bear in mind that you want to heat your butter as little as humanly possible, you don’t want to scorch or burn them
                2. Over low to medium heat, set your double boiler to warm. Make sure that the base is not touching the water.
                3. First, add your beeswax to the double boiler and allow it to melt slowly.
                4. Then add the Mango and Shea Butter to the double boiler.
                5. As soon as that has half melted, add the solid Monoi de Tahiti or Coconut carrier oil to the double boiler too.
                6. The very moment everything is molten, remove it all from the heat.
              Cooling Things Down
                1. Pour the hot wax, butter, and oil mixture into a bowl. You want a size that you can fit in your fridge.
                2. Place the bowl in the fridge for 20-30 minutes.
                3. You want it to look like it is just starting to solidify again, but is not solid.
                4. Once it starts to solidify, remove it from the fridge and decant it all into a large mixing bowl.
                5. A good quality silicone spatula will help you to get every last precious morsel out of the bowl. Don’t waste any if you can.
              Mixing the Luxe Body Créme
                1. Measure out the rest of your ingredients and have them all ready to hand. It will make it easier to have them ready to go.
                2. Mix the Kaolin clay powder with a small amount of the Rosewater and work it into a thick paste. Slowly and carefully, add more Rosewater until it starts to slacken and has no lumps in it.  It should end up with a pourable consistency. You can always add a little more Rosewater or Spring Water to get to this point.
                3. Adding the carrier oils in a slow stream, slowly start to whisk the oil in the wax and butter mixture.
                4. Allow each one to become incorporated before adding another.
                5. Whisk in the Honey and Glycerine until thoroughly combined.
                6. Pierce and squeeze the contents of the Vitamin E Capsules into the bowl (or use pure Vit E oil) and mix well.
                7. This is the point to take care of because you are mixing a water-based ingredient with an oil-based one! Very slowly start to add the Aqueous Cream base a small spoonful at a time, whisking thoroughly between additions.
                8.  Alternate this by adding a spoonful of the Kaolin paste, mixing, and then more Aqueous cream.
                9. Continue in this way until you have combined both of those ingredients in their entirety.
                10. Give it one last good whisk to make sure that all ingredients are fully incorporated.
              Checking and Adjusting the Consistency
                1. This is the best time to check the ‘skin feel’ of your Luxe Cream, so try it out now.
                2. If it feels lumpy or grainy? That can be because the waxes or butter has not been incorporated fully.  You can try mixing it more thoroughly or try a stronger whisk or machine. You will find that the tiny little lumps of butter or wax soon disappear as you rub them into your skin. I like to think of them as ‘tiny magic pearls’ of nourishment!
                3. Does the ‘skin feel’ a bit too oily for you, add in more Kaolin Clay Powder, and turn it into a paste first with Rosewater to avoid any lumps.
                4. Maybe, it feels too thick, try adding some more Rosewater or Springwater
                5. If it feels too thin, try mixing in more hard butter, like Mango. (Melt it first).
Adding Your Fragrance and Essential Oils
                1. Once you are happy with the consistency of your Luxe Body Créme you are ready to add your fragrance oil and essential oil blend.
                2. Measure them both carefully into the mixture and completely combine with the whisk.
              Finishing Your Luxe Body Créme
                1. Use a suitable jar funnel and decant into 500ml or 2 x 250ml /8.45 fl oz jars and clean the rims carefully.
                2. Cover with a clean cotton cloth to keep out dust and mold spores.
                3. You MUST allow the mix to cool fully before adding your lid, otherwise you risk it going moldy - Please hear me on this!
                4. Once fully cooled, the lid tightly
                5. Label clearly, listing all ingredients and dates for safety reasons.

              How To Use:

                1. Please do a 24-48 hour patch test.
                2. This is a real treat for your face, hands, and body because it is such a beautifully rich cream. As it is so rich, we don’t recommend using it daily on your face. I suggest that 2-3 times a week is more than enough and I would always use it at night.
                3. Other than that, slather it on with wild abandon.
                4. It is not for your intimate areas though, please.

              Safety:

                • Do not use it in the first 37 weeks of pregnancy.
                • Do not use it over broken skin.

              Method:

                1. Mix your carrier oils well.
                2. Add the glycerin and combine.
                3. Carefully measure out your fragrance oils and essential oils and add to the mix.
                4. Use a funnel to decant the mix into your 50ml bottle, it saves getting the bottle oily. An oily bottle makes it very difficult to attach your label and can spoil the appearance of your label too.
                5. Clean the rim of the bottle and lid tightly
                6. Label your bottle clearly, using an oil-proof label. List all of your ingredients for safety reasons and date.
                7. Add the instruction to your label too - ‘Shake Well Before Use’.
                8. Use within 6 months.
              How to Use:
                1. Do a 24 to 48-hour patch test before using it on your face.
                2. Apply a couple of drops in gentle, upward circular motions.
                3. Avoid getting in your eyes, should any product get in your eyes, rinse well with clean, tepid water immediately. If irritation is persistent, seek medical advice, taking the clearly labeled container with you.
