Our Version Of Oud Paris By Diptyque fragrance oil is a wonderful choice for this hot oil because, with so many lovely deep hearts and base notes, it will encourage the scent to linger. Leaving your hair deeply nourished and fragranced beautifully, for many hours after.
You don’t need a lot of ingredients for this so it is very cost-effective to make. A high-end product for just a handful of pennies, what more could you want?
In IFRA Category 7Ba Our Version Of Oud Paris By Diptyque fragrance oil has a maximum safety dilution rate of 5.84%.
This makes about 200 ml of Hot Hair Oil.
You will need:
- Measuring jug
- Funnel
- Stainless steel spoon or stirrer
- 200ml Dark amber glass bottle
- Label
Ingredients:
- 100 ml Argan Carrier Oil (Argania Spinosa)
- 100 ml Jojoba Carrier Oil (Simmondsia Chinensis)
- 10 ml of Our Version Of Oud Paris By Diptyque Fragrance Oil
Safety:
- If the product gets in your eyes, rinse well with clean, cool water. If irritation persists seek immediate medical attention taking the clearly labeled bottle with you.
Method:
- Into the measuring jug, carefully measure out your carrier oils.
- Then add in your Our Version Of Oud Paris By Diptyque fragrance oil and mix it thoroughly.
- Decant into your bottle using a funnel for ease.
- Cap tightly.
- Label clearly, listing all ingredients for safety reasons.
How to use:
- Carry out a 24-48 hour patch test.
- Firstly you want to warm your oil. It is easy to do when you place a small bowl into a larger bowl of freshly boiled water. Simply pour the amount of oil you need into the small bowl and allow it to warm through. How much oil you need depends on the length of your hair.
- Please take care when you remove the bowl from the hot water, use a towel or a pot holder to help you.
- Also, before using, please check the heat of the oil. Do this by dabbing a bit on your inner elbow.
- It is easier to apply if you section your hair into four large sections. Two at the front and back, either side.
- Gently work the oil into the roots of the hair and your scalp.
- Then work to draw the oil down the whole length of the hair.
- Work the oil in well and massage through all four sections of hair, making sure you get it from root to tip.
- Cover your hair in a hot towel. The warmth helps the oil permeate the strands of your hair better.
- When you are ready to remove the oil, shampoo your hair thoroughly, twice. Then condition as you normally would. But you will need a little less conditioner than normal because of all the nourishing oil.
- You can use this weekly, but I recommend it twice a month for beautifully conditioned tresses.
- Also, please take care getting in and out of a bath or shower where you have used this product as it may be slippery. Use non-slip bath mats and safety rails, where available.
Luxe Foot Créme
Give your tired feet some VIP treatment and treat them to this opulent and decadent, Luxe Foot Créme. For beautifully pampered feet and toes, try this light, but rich, and moisturizing Luxe Créme. You can use this daily, to keep your skin hydrated, moisturized, and in tip-top shape.
By adding essential oils, it gives us a chance to add some wonderfully soothing and relaxing qualities. It will soon bring fragrant and sweet relief to those tired feet.
Just a note before we begin:
- You can completely substitute any of the hydrosols for Spring Water.
- The maximum safety dilution rate in IFRA category 5A for Our Version Of Oud Paris By Diptyque fragrance oil is 5.01%.
This makes 8 fl oz or 1 cup of Luxe Foot Créme
You will need:
- Measuring jug
- Funnel
- Stainless steel spoon or stirrer
- 250ml jar and lid
- Label
Ingredients:
- ¼ cup Rose (water) hydrosol - or you could substitute - Sandalwood or Cedarwood Hydrosols.
- ½ cup Aqueous cream
- 1 tbsp Argan Carrier Oil (Argania Spinosa)
- 1 tbsp Avocado Carrier Oil (Persea Gratissima)
- 2 tsp Rosehip Carrier Oil (Rosa Canina)
- 1 tbsp Glycerine
- 8 ml of Our Version Of Oud Paris By Diptyque Fragrance Oil
- 20 drops of Patchouli Essential Oil (Pogostemon Cablin)
- 20 drops of Sandalwood Amyris Essential Oil (Amyris Balsamifera)
- 20 drops of Roman Chamomile Essential Oil (Anthemis Nobilis L.)
Safety:
- Not suitable for use in the first 16 weeks of pregnancy.
- If you are diabetic or pre-diabetic or have existing health conditions, please seek advice from your specialized medical practitioner before using essential oils.
Method:
- Measure out the Aqueous Cream or water-based cream and place it into the mixing bowl.
- Add in all of your carrier oils and mix until thoroughly incorporated.
- Measure the hydrosol/spring water into your measuring jug.
- Then add the Glycerin into the hydrosol/spring water, and mix well.
- Working slowly, pour a small amount of the fluid mixture into the Aqueous Cream base. Combine well with the spoon, once fully incorporated, work in the same way to continue to add the liquid mixture in small amounts.
- Keep going until your desired consistency is obtained. If it is too thick for you, add more spring water. If it is too thin, simply add more Aqueous Cream. You can keep it quite thick or make it thinner, it is entirely up to you. If you struggle to reach your feet, make it thinner so it absorbs easier and dries faster.
- Once you have the right consistency, add in your fragrance and essential oils and mix well until thoroughly combined.
- It makes life easier to pour this mixture into the cleaned measuring jug to fill your jar.
- Lid immediately.
- Label and date your jar, and list all ingredients for safety reasons.
How to use:
- Do a 24-48 hour patch test, before using for the first time.
- Massage firmly and liberally into your poor tired feet. Also don’t neglect your ankles and lower legs, massaging those will bring some welcome relief too.
- Store in a clean, dry place with an ambient temperature and use within six months.
