The Winter Scent Atlas - A Sensory Journey Through Our New Winter Collection

The Winter Scent Atlas - A Sensory Journey Through Our New Winter Collection

Winter has this delicious way of slowing the world down and setting a different pace. I love how the air grows sharper, seasonal flavours mellow and deepen, and my familiar comforts feel newly precious and more cherished than ever. The brand new additions to our Winter Collection capture this seasonal shift through fragrance, transforming diffuser blends, scented home products, toiletries, and body care into exciting immersive experiences. Join me on a sensory journey through icy frost, welcoming swathes of snow-dusted forests, dancing firelight & aromatic, festive kitchens with our new Winter Collection.

Stop 1: The Snow-Dusted Pine Ridge

Look at the view! Mountain ridges for miles, lightly dusted in fresh snow and carpeted in luscious dark green pine and fir trees. The air is crisp, refreshing, and invigorating. It’s a place to breathe deep, centre yourself, connect with your joy, and feel on top of the world!

NO. 192 - Pine & Gin

A crisp Gin and Juniper breeze cuts through the quietness of the winter forest. Fresh botanicals mingle with unmistakable woodland notes of Oak, Moss, and Balsam. It evokes wide-open mountain vistas, clean, fresh air, and frosted evergreen branches.

Ways to use NO. 192 - Pine & Gin:

The fragrance notes strike me as leaning towards a more masculine palette. Why not try making a cologne or an aftershave lotion?

Those clean, refreshing, and invigorating notes to the aroma make it useful for diffuser blends that will give an open and airy feel. Try it too in home cleaning products that leave a crisp and reviving atmosphere in their wake.

NO. 201 - Evergreen

Evergreen tones of Fir Balsam and Western Hemlock create a sense of stillness, like a deep inhale of the forest after fresh snowfall. Smooth, creamy notes of Tonka Bean and comforting Vanilla soften the edges, like warm breath meeting icy cold skies.

Ways to use NO. 201 - Evergreen:

This dual cool-warm aroma works really well in wax melts and reed diffusers. It gives a deeply textured and contrasting aroma that constantly feels new and doesn’t fade into the background.

It might not be your first thought, but this fragrance will work very well in bath oils and bath bubbles. Again, it is the contrast from cool to warm that makes this work. Refreshing, but also comforting.

NO. 204 - Berry Wreath

Dark purple Juniper berries and tart crimson Cranberries bring colour against the greenery, while a dash of icy cool Peppermint gives the whole scent a frosty lift. It is the perfect wreath for hanging on a country cabin door.

Ways to use NO. 204 - Berry Wreath:

The coolness of the fragrance oil makes it perfect for creating room and linen sprays that will revive, refresh, and invigorate. The juicy warmth of the berries adds texture and interest, uplifting the whole aroma without it feeling like it is too cold.

This is the perfect aroma for a holiday surface cleanser for use throughout the whole house. So easy to make too, find out how here

Stop 2: The Midnight Lounge

I think you are going to love this stop. Step into the Midnight Lounge, full of dark, sensual aromatics and easy refinement. The lights are low, the music is hypnotic, and your company is dazzling. Grab a cocktail and let’s explore!

NO. 198 - Speakeasy

A hidden room of decadence behind a dark velvet curtain. Warm, inviting notes of Vanilla, golden Amber, and animalic Leather curl into tendrils of sensuous Smoke. It’s beautifully rich, wonderfully moody, and uber sophisticated.

Ways to use NO. 198 - Speakeasy:

This sumptuous scent is ideal for crafting the perfect evening candles and wax melts. With dark, sensual aromatics and inviting warmth, they are perfect for chilly nights, curling up together.

Why not take the intimacy up a notch and try your hand at making these sensuous massage candles

NO. 196 - Nuit De Noir

Black nights, full of evocative dark fruits, narcotic and intoxicating florals, and a sensual base of creamy Toffee and rich Sandalwood. This is winter nightlife, bottled. Oozing with sophisticated glamour, sensuous warmth, and textural depth.

Ways to use NO. 196 - Nuit De Noir:

This is such a gloriously dark aroma and is perfect for enveloping yourself in its sensual sophistication. Try it in shower gels, body butters, and hand creams.

It makes the perfect aroma for an intimate night at home, so why not try laundering your bed linen in its delectable and hypnotic aromas?

NO. 202 - Black Tie

The holiday season brings plenty of black tie functions and an unapologetic opportunity to dress up to the nines! Crisp, clean citrus and green herbal notes give way to cooling undertones of Ozone and Lavender. Jasmine adds florality and leads into a warm and refined Amber-Musk base. It’s just like a sharply tailored suit in scent form.

Ways to use NO. 202 - Black Tie:

This is the lightest scent in this section, but it still possesses that delicate sensuality thanks to the Jasmine. It would make a great scent layer upon layer with shower gel, talc, and then finishing with a body lotion or butter, before a quick spritz of Eau De Parfum

In the home, use it to bring sophisticated elegance and refinement to your diffuser blends. It’s a perfect scent for uplifting and enlivening your parties and celebrations.

Stop 3: The Winter Bakehouse & Candy Store

What journey would be complete without stopping for a sweet treat at the Bakery? Jump off and let’s go and press our noses against the misty windows and choose which treats appeal to, and delight, our cozy little hearts! (P.S. No calories here!)

NO. 193 - Jelly Donuts

Who doesn’t love a jelly donut, with jelly oozing out all over your sticky fingers? Warm and jammy strawberry filling, lavish dustings of powdered sugar, and that soft, pillowy vanilla dough. It’s a pure and delicious indulgence for your senses.

Ways to use NO. 193 - Jelly Donuts:

You have to appreciate the youthful and nostalgic aura of this sweet and tempting fragrance oil. I think it is perfect for making glycerine soap for children. Have fun hiding inclusions inside that the kids actually have to use the soap to get to them! Perfect for kids who aren’t keen on bathtime.

NO. 195 - Vanilla Buttercream

Did you see that massive cupcake? Topped with lashings of creamy Vanilla, soft gooey Caramel, and sweet butter. It made my mouth water just looking at its frosting. This fragrance oil evokes that delicious frosting-like richness, and it feels both luxurious and homely.

Ways to use NO. 195 - Vanilla Buttercream:

I think this fragrance oil is perfect for blending. It would add sweet warmth to crisp, clean citrus blends (like NO. 48 - Lemon Verbena) and give them depth and dimension. It would also add richness to dark wood blends (like - NO. 50 - Mahogany Teakwood) and make them a bit more feminine.

Try these balanced blends in simple body lotions for a real winter treat, one to suit your every mood.

NO. 205 - Cozy Bake

You can’t help but let out a contented sigh when you smell this cozy, baked aroma. Steamy tendrils of Cinnamon and Clove rise from the oven temptingly. Softened with the creamy comfort of Vanilla for a deliciously smooth scent that instantly fills a room with its toasty warmth and sheer delight.

Ways to use NO. 205 - Cozy Bake:

This is another beautifully nostalgic aroma that transports you right back to your childhood and memories of holidays past. Bring them back to life and use NO. 205 in wax melts, scented candles, and reed diffusers to create pockets of aromatic delight all over the house.

If you, or a special someone, really loves these types of gourmand scents, a thick and unctuous body butter is the perfect vehicle for this aroma.

NO. 200 - Candy Emporium

Right next to the Bakehouse is the Candy Emporium. A melange of sweet and delicious aromas that instantly uplift and bring you joy, as they stir up happy memories of a childhood trip to a sweet shop on a cold, brisk day.

Bright and zingy citrus notes of Lemon, Citron, and Lime zest roll into sugar-dusted Strawberries. Hot sugar cane juice is lavished with smooth, creamy notes of Vanilla for a delicious and youthful finish.

Ways to use NO. 200 - Candy Emporium:

NO. 200 is just SO MUCH FUN! Clean and zesty, but also creamy and sweet, you can’t help but smile at its joyful aroma. The light and uplifting citrus notes are great for shower gels to use in the morning and start the day off on the right foot.

Why not give the kids a treat and create a small range of home cleaning products just for their bedroom? You never know, it might encourage them to tidy up a bit!

Stop 4: The Hearthside Kitchen

What better for our last stop than a hearthside kitchen? All warm and cozy, exuding delicious aromas in curling tendrils of billowing steam from the busy stove. All our homely favorites in one of the places we love the most.

Often, home is the place we feel the safest, so if life has rocked you lately, retreat to your safe space. Grab something with a strong Vanilla vibe to instill a feeling of safety, security, and calming comfort.

In the meantime, why not curl up with these delicious and nostalgic offerings?

NO. 203 - Holiday Hot Toddy

I do love making a simmering pot of mulled wine or a whiskey hot toddy after a brisk, frosty walk. It’s the perfect thing to warm up cold noses, fingers, nd toes.

This is like a hot, steaming mug of Apple Brandy, lavished with warm spices, zesty citrus slices, and dotted with winter’s favorite, wild Cranberries. It has all the right comforting notes, whimsical nostalgia, and festive spirit.

Ways to use NO. 203 - Holiday Hot Toddy:

NO. 203 has those warm, lingering spiced notes that always work so wonderfully with soaps. But you don’t have to go to the trouble of making your own soap; simply add some to an unscented liquid soap base and mix it through thoroughly. Super easy and highly effective.

I like the idea of the aroma as a surface cleanser; it has those lovely, clean, and refreshing notes of Apple, but overall, it is warm, inviting, and comforting. It will make cleaning up a breeze.

NO. 197 - Grandma's Hot Chocolate

My wee grandson has just discovered hot chocolate, and we shared a delicious first mug just the other week, on a cold and windy day. His eyes lit up as he tasted the sweet and creamy delight. Just as they are meant to, it was a delight to share!

This fragrance is a beautifully nostalgic hug of creamy, spiced Cocoa. Sprinkled with speckles of Cinnamon, topped with a flourish of whipped cream and shaved Chocolate, warming hands, hearts, and homes.

Ways to use NO. 197 - Grandma's Hot Chocolate:

Chocolate-based aromas always make extremely popular body butters and body lotions. This fragrance would work well in a rich Cocoa Butter base; they would complement each other beautifully.  Try it in a Whipped Body Butter for true indulgence.

NO. 199 - Frosted Apple Bite

I’ve literally just stepped out of the kitchen from making one of my favourite winter treats, Maple Spiced Apple Butter. I tried something new today with half a batch and added lashings of fresh juice and orange zest. Oh my, it is sublime, and it has a very similar scent profile to NO. 199

There’s a bright, sparkling burst of crisp Apple and juicy Oranges with a sweet twist of spiced Maple syrup. Soft blossoms of Neroli add depth with Musk. Oakmoss rounds out the base, creating a refreshing yet cozy winter warmer.

Ways to use NO. 199 - Frosted Apple Bite:

In just the same way as chocolate and body butter go together, apples and soap seem to have the same affinity. Try them in making glycerine soap recipes.

This is another scent that has wonderful contrasts and textures, cool and warm, crisp and soft, and these types of scent always work well in reed diffusers, scented candles, and wax melts because they oscillate between one and the other. Keeping things fresh and exciting.

NO. 194 - Cinnamon Stick

What says late autumn and winter in the USA more than the warm and spicy aroma of cinnamon? It seems to appear everywhere in everything from drinks to home baking.

This fragrance oil weaves together the delicious and mouthwatering notes of Cinnamon, Nutmeg, and Ginger. It is enveloped in a smooth, creamy aura of soft Vanilla, offering balance to this sumptuous scent.

Ways to use NO. 194 - Cinnamon Stick:

This is one of those oils where you are not sure where to begin, because there are so many possibilities.

However, both Cinnamon Bark and Cinnamon Leaf essential oils have exceptionally low skin safety dilution rates, making a skin-safe Cinnamon-based fragrance oil a desirable and useful commodity in toiletries and hair and body care products.

It is an exceptionally versatile fragrance oil when it comes to blending, adding spiced warmth and a Vanilla flourish to your diffuser blends. It will add luscious depth and dimension. Try it paired with NO. 109 - Petitgrain Blossom, NO. 57 - Orange Sherbet or NO. 35 - Fruit Loops.
