NO. 1916 is a Citrus Aromatic fragrance for women and men. Echoing the smorgasbord of Mediterranean culture from each colonising empire across three millennia and the enduring effect on the language, customs, architecture and beauty of Palermo.

Layer upon layer of rich history from century to century, unfurls as you walk the streets of this beguiling city.  This is very much an olfactory postcard from Sicily, intertwining citrus groves and a complex tapestry of history, from its sun baked houses of white stone and wild, rolling hillsides of aromatic herbs.

Scent Profile

NO. 1916 opens with an awakening sunburst of radiant, morning sunlight over terracotta rooftops, where the brightness is immediate, vivid, and joyfully expansive. It feels like slicing into a perfectly ripe Sicilian Orange, fresh, mouthwatering juice misting into warm air. Energetic notes of Bergamot and Petitgrain introduce a green aromatic breeze, evoking crushed Orange leaves and the silhouettes of distant Cypress trees.

The luscious citrus glow softens into aromatic refinement as it sinks into the heartspace. Gentle accords of Rose and Neroli bring a soft, floral fruitiness, echoing delicate petals warmed under Mediterranean light. Barely there notes of Lavender add airy clarity and a touch of quiet elegance, while the subtle nuance of Pink Pepper grounds the freshness.

Understanding The IFRA Guidelines for Maximum Dilution

Maximum dilution for this fragrance oil depends on the products you are planning on making. It should be noted that maximum dilutions are from a safety aspect only, based on the chemical composition of the oil.

In some cases these are very high, because all components are relatively benign. These amounts are not necessarily recommendations of how much to use in your recipe. They may smell too strong or make the item prohibitively expensive to produce.

As long as you remain below the advised limits, you can be as generous or as frugal as you like. Use more, use less. We’ll leave the creative stuff to you.

Based on the ingredients used, as per the International Fragrance Regulation Authority, the maximum dilutions given above apply.

Blending NO. 1916

We find it lends itself beautifully to blending with its airy and luminous range of aromatics. It makes for an extremely versatile and highly coveted fragrance oil for the modern scent connoisseur. Try blending it with:

• NO. 1916 Fragrance Oil is not approved under IFRA safety guidelines for any kind of lip or mouth related products as per their categories 1 and 6.

We recommend testing a small amount before scaling up to larger size formulations. As with all VINEVIDA products.
