NO. 184 - Walk In The Woods is an evocative Woody Floral fragrance for men and women. Eschewing a more obvious pine forest or freshly hewn wood accords, this aroma has its own distinct personality of temperate, deciduous woodland.

Capturing the liminal point of early autumn, where summer is not quite done and the autumn has yet to take hold, perfectly poised between lingering vibrancy and greenery and those first signs of seasonal decay. Echoing cool, moist earth, newly fallen leaf litter, dry grasses and withering bracken, all carried on the sweet woodland air.

Scent Profile

Stepping into the cool Camphorous shade of the woodland, the soft path narrows and green leaves brush your skin. Sunkissed patches of late Clover still provide pollen for bees and aromatic patches of Violet leaves and Ferns bring freshness and vibrancy. 

As you move deeper into the woods, fingers of sunlight fall across wild Geraniums, drying grasses and amber tinted Oak leaves. A thicket of Wild Rose brings a flash of aromatic color and lifts the powdery Violets to the fore, above the rainsoaked soil and the scent of woodland succumbing to autumn.

The woodland path disappears beneath floppy grasses, tangled brambles and fallen leaves. The peppery musk of fox melds into the green mossy tree roots and the comforting earthiness of Patchouli. Orris provides a dusting of powdery Violet softness and it is finished with a final whisper of creamy Vanilla.

Understanding The IFRA Guidelines for Maximum Dilution

Maximum dilution for this fragrance oil depends on the products you are planning on making. It should be noted that maximum dilutions are from a safety aspect only, based on the chemical composition of the oil.

In some cases these are very high, because all components are relatively benign. These amounts are not necessarily recommendations of how much to use in your recipe. They may smell too strong or make the item prohibitively expensive to produce.

As long as you remain below the advised limits, you can be as generous or as frugal as you like. Use more, use less. We’ll leave the creative stuff to you.

Based on the ingredients used, as per the International Fragrance Regulation Authority, the maximum dilutions given above apply.

Blending NO. 184

We find it lends itself beautifully to blending with its botanical range of autumnal aromatics. It makes for an extremely versatile and highly coveted fragrance oil for the modern scent connoisseur. Try blending it with:

• NO. 184 Fragrance Oil Is not approved under IFRA safety guidelines for any kind of lip or mouth related products as per their categories 1 and 6.
