The NO. 1200 Fragrance Oil is not a pure essential oil but rather contains fixatives to make a longer-lasting and more fragrant product. It works beautifully for Candle Making, Soap Making, and in Personal Care Applications such as Lotion, Shampoo, and Liquid Soap. This list is not exhaustive and we invite you to play, create, and invent a million other ways to use it. We recommend you test a small amount before scaling up to larger-size formulations. NO. 1200 Fragrance Oil conjures up the past, a forgotten treasure of a necklace of precious amber beads. Over the annals of time, they have taken on the fragrance of their ancient treasure box. Imbued with balms, hints of tropical spices, and precious woods. It creates a delicious and warming blend of Vetiver, Patchouli, and Tonka Bean. While aniseed entangles with mysterious notes of incense and Cistus.

Aromatherapy

NO. 1200 Fragrance Oil is an ode to your Granny's attic, filled with forgotten treasures from her travels around the world and her wild traveling adventures. A beautifully inlaid hardwood box reveals perfect spheres of amber beads, knotted onto silk and reminiscent of a bygone time. IFRA Guidelines for Maximum Dilution

Maximum dilution for this fragrance oil depends on the products you are planning on making.

It should be noted that maximum dilutions are from a safety aspect only, based on the chemical composition of the oil. In some cases, these are very high, because all components are relatively benign. These amounts are not necessarily recommendations of how much to use in your recipe. They may smell too strong or make the item prohibitively expensive to produce. As long as you remain below the advised limits, you can be as generous or parsimonious as you like. Use more, use less. We’ll leave the creative stuff to you.

Based on the ingredients used, as per the International Fragrance Regulation Authority, the following maximum dilutions apply. 

Directions for Use

Candles

Candles and related scented items fall under Category 12 of the IFRA safety standards. NO. 1200 Fragrance Oil has no restrictions on use for category 12. Feel free to use as much or as little as pleases your nose. 

Soaps and Bathroom Fragrances

The NO. 1200 Fragrance Oil lends itself well to bathroom products. Maximum dilution for soaps, shampoos, or any other IFRA category 9 product is 25.00%. This category also covers laundry pretreatment and cleaning products.

Maximum dilution for making an aerosol room spray or any other item that will be propelled using a pump is category 10B  is unlimited.

Hand Made Perfumery

Fragrance oils make wonderful additions to handmade perfumes. For cologne in category 3B designed to be applied to freshly shaved skin, a maximum dilution of 5.39% is appropriate. This would apply to both Eau de Toilettes and fine fragrances. For hydroalcoholic perfumery products in category 4A, designed to be used on unshaved skin at a maximum dilution of 46.15%.

If you decide to use The NO. 1200 Fragrance Oil in deodorant or antiperspirant products in category 2, the maximum dilution is 2.38%. This applies to either roll-on or body spray products.

Body Care

As per the IFRA regulations, the maximum safe dilution for NO. 1200 Fragrance Oil for category 5A is set at 11.15% if it is used for body creams, foot care products, insect repellents, or talcum powder.

For specialized hand creams or fragrance hand sanitizers in category 5C, the maximum dilution would be 10.92%.
