Balsam Fir essential oil is extracted from a North American fir's needles, "Abies Balsamea." The fir mainly originates in East and Central Canada; in fact, Canada is among the significant balsam fir producers and its essential oil. South-eastern American regions also take part in the production of this fir and its essential oil.
