Cuban Tobacco Fragrance Oil

Cuban Tobacco Fragrance Oil is not a pure essential oil, but rather contains fixatives to make a longer-lasting and more fragrant product. It works beautifully for Candle Making, Soap Making, and in Personal Care Applications such as Lotion, Shampoo, and Liquid Soap. This list is not exhaustive, and we invite you to play, create and invent a million other ways to use it. We recommend you test a small amount before scaling up to larger-size formulations. As with all VINEVIDA products, these fragrance oils are intended for external use only and should not be ingested under any circumstances.

Scent Profile

With its initial bright floral and citrus notes of Neroli and Bergamot, Cuban Tobacco Fragrance Oil invites you to sink into the tropical lushness of Ylang and Ylang and Jasmine. It’s a mere moment, before cocooning you in the deliciousness of Rose and Amber. With the deeper notes of Vetiver and Vanilla underpinning this sophisticated and sensual scent.

Use for Cuban Tobacco Fragrance Oil

Aromatherapy 

Take yourself off to the lush tropical gardens of Cuba where the sea breeze meets the cascade of beautiful floral and bright fruit notes. Transport yourself to an island packed with fragrance at every turn. 

Candles

Gorgeous for the bathroom, to make it feel welcoming, bright and clean.

Custom Soap and Bath Products

Add a few drops to the cold process or melt and pour soaps to fragrance your bathroom beautifully.

Air Fresheners and Linen Sprays

Dilute a couple of drops of Cuban Tobacco Fragrance Oil into a teaspoon of alcohol, then fill up your spray bottle with water. Freshen the furniture, sheets and the carpet.

Crafting Projects

Great for tropical themed parties, scent your disposal table napkins by popping them in a box with a few drops applied to a cotton pad. It’s perfect for creating a welcoming atmosphere so use it as potpourri or on a felt hanger in your entrance hall. 

IFRA Guidelines for Maximum Dilution

Maximum dilution for this fragrance oil depends on the products you are planning on making.

It should be noted that maximum dilutions are from a safety aspect only, based on the chemical composition of the oil. In some cases these are very high, because all components are relatively benign. These amounts are not necessarily recommendations of how much to use in your recipe. They may smell too strong or make the item prohibitively expensive to produce. As long as you remain below the advised limits, you can be as generous or parsimonious as you like. Use more, use less. We’ll leave the creative stuff to you.

Based on the ingredients used, as per the International Fragrance Regulation Authority, the following maximum dilutions apply. 

Directions for Use

Candles

Candles and related scented items fall under Category 12 of the IFRA safety standards. Cuban Tobacco Fragrance Oil has no restrictions on use for category 12. Feel free to use as much or as little as pleases your nose. 

Soaps and Bathroom Fragrances

Cuban Tobacco Fragrance Oil lends itself well to bathroom products. Maximum dilution for personal care applications such as lotion shampoo and liquid soap or any other IFRA category 9 product is 2.44%.This category also covers laundry pretreatment and cleaning products.

Maximum dilution for making an aerosol room spray or any other item that will be propelled using a pump is category 10B and 15.46%

Hand Made Perfumery

Fragrance oils make wonderful additions to hand made perfumes. For cologne in category 3B designed to be applied to freshly shaved skin, a maximum dilution of 0.52% is appropriate. This would apply to both Eau de Toilettes or fine fragrances. For hydro-alcoholic perfumery products in category 4A, designed to be used on unshaved skin, a maximum dilution of 6.18%

Body Care

As per the IFRA regulations, the maximum safe dilution for Cuban Tobacco Fragrance Oil For category 5A is set at 2.51% if it is used for body creams, foot care products, insect repellents or talcum powder.

For specialized hand creams or to fragrance hand sanitizers in category 5C, maximum dilution would be 1.07%

Safety Caution

Cuban Tobacco Fragrance Oil is not approved under IFRA safety guidelines for any kind of lip or mouth related products as per their categories 1 and 6.
